During the frigid winter months in Michigan, my skin always take a big hit. This year especially I realized my skin was irritated, dry and breaking out much more than usual. When my skin doesn’t look good I don’t feel my best so one of the things I really wanted to focus on this year was getting in a better skincare routine. I have been trying so many different products the past six months from cheap drug store brands to expensive “luxury brands” and everything in-between to really find what works best for my skin. I will link all of these products at the bottom of this post.
The first step I do is I run some warm water on my Michael Todd Beauty Sonic Clear Brush and then add a some of my Tula Cleanser. Using warm water first on your face will allow your pores to really open up. Then once I have scrubbed my face with the brush for two cycles (the brush will beep at you every 20 – 30 seconds) I then rinse off the remaining soap with
Once my face is dry I then take a cotton pad from Target and apply generous amount the Origins Zero Oil toner and rub it all over my face and neck. Next, I dab the “A Perfect World” moisturizer also from Origins all over my face and down my neck. If I feel like my under eyes are looking extra dark (which they usually are) I love the Origins Ginzing eye cream. It leaves your under eyes looking bright and awake even when you only got three hours of sleep the night before. This is what I do every morning and night to really keep my skin, hydrated, clear and glowing.
A few times a week when I feel like my skin needs some extra love I add these products into my routine.
This Mario Badescu Lavender and Chamomile Facial Spay is truly one of my favorite products I continuously buy again and again. Honestly not only does this leave my face hydrated, it smells AMAZING and doubles as a light perfume.
This Vitamin E oil is from Target and has been a true game changer. Vitamin E oil is proven to help restore damaged skin and is sure to leave your skin GLOWING. I usually only apply this at night time.
For me, I love a brand/product so much more when I know that the products I am applying daily are actually good for me. Lately, I have become a lot more knowledgeable about the harmful ingredients that companies are allowed to put into skincare, makeup and haircare products. It truly terrifies me. But the best thing about the products I am using this winter is that all of them are packed with so many things that are good for your skin and overall health.
My final go to in the winter is this lip scrub from Lush. I bought it at the mall a few months ago and it is super hydrating and leaves my lips silky smooth. I couldn’t link it on this page but I also love the Burts Bee’s conditioning lip srub.
Tula products are packed with probiotics and superfoods and always are 100% free from phthalates, parabens and are cruelty-free.
